Michelle has been an avid cyclist for over 20 years and started dabbling in yoga to help stretch and strengthen the body at home and off of the bike, but it was merely superficial benefits at the beginning. As she grew her practice, she began experiencing different studios around town and enjoyed a few yoga retreat vacations over the years. Slowly exposing her to the much deeper meaning and all eight limbs of yoga. Eventually finding a comfort and preference for the vinyasa flow and energy of Yoga Flow. Wanting to continue to deepen her practice she considered a teaching certification for 6 long years, and finally signed on with the Yoga Flow family in 2015 and has been a permanent substitute teacher since then. Still attempting to maintain an avid cycling schedule (and still has some tight hips and hamstrings to prove it) but now incorporating the mind, body and spirit into her yoga practice and continuing growth. Finding yoga (and not just the asanas) has been a life changing transition. She is beyond grateful to have this opportunity, always hoping to bring a joyful practice to class and remind her students the importance of calming our minds with our body and breath. We need to take better care of ourselves, so that we can take better care of those around us. Namaste.
